Best Men's Spas In New York City

While several spas around the city welcome those with Y-chromosomes, some men might prefer to go to a spa specifically designed for guys. Herewith, our five favorites. By Jessica Allen.

This Hell's Kitchen emporium is devoted to making men feel, and look, like a million bucks. You can get a pedicure, a manicure, a massage (including such specialty hands-on treatments like Thai yoga massage, guaranteed to get the kinks out), a wax, or a facial, among other services. Note that this isn't the place for you to gossip loudly with your buddies over last night's game; instead, peace and relaxation reign at Paradise Men's Spa. Here, silence is golden, and utterly rejuvenating.

Shizuka rose to spa prominence in part thanks to founder and master aesthetician Shizuka Bernstein's "geisha 'bird poop' facial." The name's no joke: the secret ingredient really is nightingale droppings. At the Men's Spa, men can get the smooth, porcelain-like skin that facial promises, along with other treatments like anti-aging facials, toning facials, chest facials, back facials, botox, hair removal, hair rejuvenation, eyelash tinting, mani- and pedicures, and all manner of massages.

The/One Men Spa in Chelsea provides its clients with a full range of treatments, body work, and services designed to help them present their best foot, face, posture, and mien. We particularly like the VIP Treatment, which gives couples or friends the opportunity to get pampered together in a private room. You'll be exfoliated, massaged, masked, scrubbed, and Jacuzzied. Speaking of pairs, we're also fond of this spa's signature four-hands massage, exactly what it sounds like.

After you work out, you can detox via a Turkish hamam, complete with full-body exfoliation and a foam massage.
