The food truck trend has taken off across the city over the last few years, and the streets of New York have got something for everyone -  from the traditional street meat to dumpling trucks. But if you need a sugar rush to jump start your day, keep your eyes peeled for these vendors. Here are the six best dessert trucks in New York City.

Mexican chocolate brownies, cupcakes, and oatmeal jammies are available from a truck named "Sugar." The truck itself is sweet to the environment: it runs on compressed natural gas. Self-described owner/baker/driver/eater Kim Ima says her sweets are "not too fancy, always delicious." She and her team are doing something right: they've won a Vendy award for their efforts.
