718 Cyclery was founded by bike messenger who was hit by a car. It was this experience that urged him to learn about bikes inside and out, including building them from nothing and opening up his own shop. Today, the store aims teach bikers of all levels how to build bikes, offering regular classes free of charge. In addition, it is one of the few shops in the city that not only sells Public and Worksman cycles, but also allows test rides.
