Best Buy Holds Black Friday Simulation
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – With the madness of Black Friday approaching in less than two weeks, stores like Best Buy are prepping their employees for the craziness that comes the day after Thanksgiving.
On Sunday morning, managers at the Lower Manhattan Best Buy held a simulated Black Friday event in order to ensure their staff can best handle the shopping rush, WCBS 880's Mike Xirinachs reports.

Best Buy spokesperson Amy Adoniz said the event is to make sure everyone's ready and safe.
"Black Friday. [The] day after Thanksgiving. Just getting all the employees ready for that heavy rush of customers and traffic that are gonna come into the store that day," Adoniz said. "But we want to insure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time."
Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year as the countdown toward Christmas begins.
Many stores offer money-saving deals in order to get the early shoppers out first.
"We want them to understand that it's going to be a little crazy, but we're going to give them all the tools they need to do their job that day," Adoniz said.
But despite the hectic atmosphere, manager Sy Paulson said there's one thing that people shouldn't forget.
"Ultimately, we want to make sure that safety is top of mind," Paulson said.
