Finnerty's in the East Village screens all kinds of sports on its 20-something TVs, located so that pretty much everyone can see pretty much everything. Bi-coastal and/or California transplants take note: this bar focuses on Bay Area and West Coast teams, including the San Jose Sharks. Indeed, it purports to be the largest PAC-12 bar in the city. Serious groups of fans will want to reserve their games through the bar's Party Reservation or Keg Service (exactly what it sounds like).

Located just steps away from Madison Square Garden, The Flying Puck is where to be before, during, and after a Rangers game. Rangers aren't playing? No worries: you can watch another hockey game on one of the bar's TVs, thanks to the NHL Center Ice subscription package. True fans will love the hockey-themed décor, including hockey players enshrined in stained glass, and hungry folks will revel in the long menu, featuring burgers, salads, pizza, and appetizers like nachos and chili cheese fries.

Here's something you don't see everyday: each booth at this Upper East Side pub has its own little TV with its own remote control, so it can be all hockey all the time (or baseball or The Walking Dead or whatever else is on). If you can't snag a booth, you'll still be able to watch all kinds of games from one of bar's various other TVs. And if you need a break, you can hang out and play video games or beer ping pong at a special table (yes, really). Don't forget to try the garbage plate: a melange of such food as mac and cheese, waffle fries, and a hot dog.

It's pretty bold to call yourself "the premier hockey bar in NYC," but Kelly's lives up to the self-proclaimed hype. Located in the East Village, this bar caters to fans of the Buffalo Sabres, along with Buffalo Bills and Chicago Cubs fans, and it's maybe a little more divey than some of the other bars on this list. No matter: real fans know that it's the cheering that counts. And, on game days, Kelly's gets packed and loud. Why not belly on up to the bar, order a beer, and join the fun?

Showcasing the best of whatever sport is in season, Warren 77 is a neighborhood bar in a great neighborhood (Tribeca) with great food, including several kinds of sausages, a grilled cheese and tomato soup combo, and various salads. It's decorated with one-of-a-kind memorabilia, including a huge wall of baseball cards. When it comes to hockey, Warren 77 bleeds blue (i.e., loves the Rangers), maybe because Sean Avery was one of the original owners (he's since sold his stake, alas).
