Benigno's Best: Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

1.  Green Bay Packers 6-0 (1)

Another day, another three touchdown pass performance for Aaron Rodgers. The champs go easy on the winless Lambs and are now the league's only remaining unbeaten team. One favor: please lose those uniforms.

Next: @ Vikings

2.  Baltimore Ravens 4-1 (4)

Five Billy Cundiff field goals and 161 total yards for Ray Rice as Baltimore keeps rolling after their bye  with a thrashing of banged up Texans.

Next: @ Jaguars

3.  New England Patriots 5-1 (5)

Four Patriot turnovers and for the first time in 13 regular season games the Patriots were held under 30 points.  Still with the game on the line, who's better than Brady? Belichick/Brady combo ties Shula/Marino with most wins all-time by coach/QB combo in win over the "Boys."

Next: Bye

4. San Francisco 49ers 5-1 (8)

That Jim Harbaugh sure knows how to give a handshake! The Niners bounced the Lions from the unbeaten ranks. Does San Francisco really need to play any more games to clinch the lousy NFC West?

Next: Bye

5. Detroit Lions 5-1 (2)

Looks like Jim Schwartz won't be doing lunch with Jim Harbaugh anytime soon. I guess the "Motown Cats" can't win 'em all.

Next: vs. Falcons

6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-2 (unranked)

Tampa cracks the top 10 for the first time this season with a solid win versus the rival Saints after being blown out in San Francisco. The defense picked off Brees three times including the clincher in the end zone in the closing minutes.

Next: vs. Bears

7. New Orleans Saints 4-2 (3)

It was a rough day for Sean Payton. Not only do the Saints lose, but the coach also goes on the DL with a broken leg and torn MCL after a sideline collision with his own tight end.

Next: vs. Colts

8. Buffalo Bills 4-2 (6)

The Giants turned the tables on Buffalo with two key Corey Webster picks, leading to the Bills loss at the Meadowlands. For the first time this year Buffalo D doesn't force a turnover. Still this team is pretty good.

Next: Bye

9. San Diego Chargers 4-1 (10)

The Chargers actually move up a slot by not playing this week.  They are a soft 4-1 but still you can only play who's on your schedule. They will have a nice test in the Eastern Time zone this week against the Jets.

Next: @ Jets

10. Oakland Raiders 4-2 (unranked)

Light the eternal flame in memory of Al Davis. The Raiders are now 2-0 since his passing. However, the loss of Jason Campbell for the season could be devastating. Kyle Boller?

Next: vs. Chiefs

Closing in:   Giants & Bengals
