Bellucci On Suicide Watch Tuesday
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- The Staten Island man accused of murdering his parents was under a suicide watch Tuesday.
Eric Bellucci, 30, who suffers from schizophrenia, made his first court appearance Monday. Earlier in the day, his parents, Marian and Arthur, were laid to rest.
Prosecutors said they were stabbed to death last week in their upscale home in Annadale.
"I'm praying for all of them including him he's just obviously a very sick child and any parent I guess would feel the same thing, just sadness," said family friend Jean Richards.
Belucci was captured in Israel on Friday, where police said he was trying to buy an airline ticket to China.
He was being held without bail.
