Police: Man, 81, Robbed In Broad Daylight In Bedford-Stuyvesant
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were searching for a suspect who robbed an 81-year-old man in broad daylight in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
The man was walking out of his building on Lewis Avenue in Brooklyn around 1 p.m. Monday, when the suspect came up to him from behind and hit him in the head with an unknown object, causing him to fall to the ground, police said.
The suspect took the man's wallet, containing his identification, credit cards, debit cards, and an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene, police said.
Police released a surveillance image of the suspect.
