B&C Show Blog & Audio: Yankees Fans for Rangers

The Yankees gave the ball to A.J. Burnett last night with the hopes that he could salvage his dreadful season and at the same time even their series with the Texas Rangers. The result was rather predictable, Burnett went 6 innings, allowed six hits, five runs (all earned) and a three-run home run to Bengie Molina in the 6th inning that sealed the fate of the Bombers and possibly the legacy of Burnett, as the Yankees lost by a score of 10-3. Boomer & Craig were in attendance to witness Burnett's performance up close and personally, the Dynamic Duo could be seen before every pitch sitting (and standing) right behind home plate. Boomer was happy everyone else got to see what he deals with on a daily basis dealing with Craigie, who was quite animated throughout the game. The question of everyone's mind this morning is; who is to blame for the debacle in the Bronx last night??? Joe Girardi for his in-game decision making, Burnett for spitting the bit or Craig for jumping on the Yankee bandwagon (Mets Fans for Yankees)??? The guys try to make sense of it all to open up today's Radio Program…

While sitting in the Club Seats behind home plate at the Stadium last night, Craig took notice of all the notable people sitting around him, particularly one Martha Stewart, who according to Craigie, couldn't keep her eyes off of him and liked what she saw. Someone else who likes what he sees when taking a gander at Craig is Jerry 'Rello' and he was on-hand to provide his first update of the Show.

Accused of being a Russian spy a while back, Russian red-head Anna Chapman is back in the news again after posing for a spread in the Russian Maxim Magazine. Dani filled the role of the chick with a bunch of tattoos and she was also pretty knowledgeable about the Yankees, which was unfortunate for her opponent Jeff, who got off to a rough start…

Everyone's favorite 'world-wide leader in sports' was at it again on Monday night, I'm talking of course about ESPN. Tennessee Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said the network encouraged him to take a meaningless time-out, as time was winding down in Monday night's 30-3 blow-out victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in order for ESPN to get another commercial break in, Fisher did not call the TO and Boomer & Craig discuss the many layers of this story…

WFAN's mid-day co-host Joe Benigno is a big Mets fan, so needless to say he had a problem watching Boomer & Craig (Mets fans themselves) yuk it up and root on the Yankees last night on national TV (Mets Fans for Yankees). Craig gave us a taste of what Joe was saying to him during the break and then Craig and Boomer broke into song and considering Jerry's love for music, it was no surprise that he chose this as his highly anticipated Moment of the Day…
