Since the Jets eliminated the Colts Saturday night, the anticipation for their showdown with the Patriots has been steadily building. Today Craig says the Jets and their fans are now "in the pocket" - a metaphor that was lost on Boomer. Jerry's play-by-play resume speaks for itself; he calls both football and men's basketball games for the Columbia Lions and today we learned that the folks over at MSG Varsity have recognized Jerry's PBP prowess and have hired him to call a high school basketball on their network in the very near future. To this point Jerry has remained grounded, meaning he doesn't view himself as being too big of a star to perform his update duties on the Show, so that is what he did, getting things started with the latest on the fallout from Antonio Cromartie's harsh words for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's reaction or lack thereof. Mike Tannenbaum (pictured above along with Rex Ryan and Woody Johnson) is the General Manager of the NY Jets and really deserves quite a bit of credit for the Jets recent success and the direction Gang Green appears to be heading. Today he called in to the program to talk about the Jets and some of the stories surrounding the team. Antonio Garay is the starting defensive tackle for the San Diego Chargers, a team that despite missing out on the playoffs had the #1 ranked defense in the NFL this season. Garay was born in Rahway, New Jersey and both his mother and grandmother are regular listeners to the Program.
