B&C Show Blog & Audio: Burnett Will Get The Ball

The Yankees have announced their probable rotation for the ALCS and to Boomer and Craig's surprise (Craig's disgust) the much maligned AJ Burnett is scheduled to pitch Game 4 in the Bronx. As a 'Yankee Fan' himself, Craig does not like this news one little bit. He and Boomer broke down the pros and cons of having Burnett pitch rather than giving the ball to CC Sabathia on short rest. Then Craig voiced his displeasure with the Knicks, who saw their super-star free-agent pick-up Amare Stoudemire make his Madison Square Garden debut last night in a preseason game against the Celtics. The Knicks lost, which is a mere footnote to the story, Craig was not happy that Mike D'Antoni opted not to play Stoudemire in the 4th quarter despite scoring 30 points, mind you it was a preseason game. Then Boomer filled us in on the strange dream he had last night that did not involve a naked Craig feeding him grapes, but rather a speech from talking to from Rex Ryan…

Boomer has jumped on the Yankee Bandwagon with two feet; he is part of the 'Thank God for the Yankees Church' and is even wearing his TGFTY bracelet with pride. Today he took it one step further and was wearing New York Yankees Mickey Mantle jersey, which Craig mocked him for. After that was over Jerry tried to deliver an update but was routinely interrupted by Boomer telling us all about nipples…

The NBA's all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made the trip to Hudson Street today to visit with Boomer & Craig in-studio and talk about his storied career and his battle with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia.
