B&C Show Blog & Audio: A Show For The Ages

Bobby Dwyer

With everything that took place yesterday on the baseball diamond yesterday, Boomer & Craig had plenty to talk about today.  They actually took in all of the action together at Boomer's house, as the 'Dynamic-Duo' had a little Wednesday night 'man-date'.  Aside from Craig's habit of double-dipping, everything seemed to go okay…translation: Craigie was on his best behavior.  The Yankees got a subpar performance from their 'Ace' CC Sabathia but still managed to get a Game 1 road win by a score of 6-4.  The Phillies (holla!!!) sent their 'Ace' to the hill yesterday against the Reds and he pitched a gem.  Roy Halladay pitched a no-hitter in his first ever play-off start and like the Yankees; the Phillies got a win in Game 1, 4-0.   On a negative note, TBS had all of the baseball action yesterday and Craig did not love their coverage and needless to say, he let it be known…

Plus, Craig sours on Darrelle Revis during Jerry's first update, Ernie Johnson comes up a little short as a baseball play-by-play man, Texans QB Matt Schaub talks some football and gets in touch with his Philly roots, TBS President David Levy gets defensive and takes a shot at Boomer, a visit from a couple of 'well-rounded' hooters girls, a Moment provided by Jerry and an 'Attention Grabber' that does her job well…

Jerry's first update of the day had a little bit of everything; he chronicled the pitching performances of a three of the best starting pitchers in baseball, Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay and CC Sabathia.  Craig also offered his thoughts on the unwritten rules of baseball, why he thinks Darrelle Revis has turned into a douche, whether or not he wants to see Brett Favre's junk and the status of Mathias Kiwanuka's bulging disc…

Matt Schaub is the quarterback for the 3-1 Texans, who will take on the Giants this Sunday in Houston.  With that in mind, Al booked the all-pro signal caller to join Boomer & Craig and talk about Sunday's match-up.  We also learned that Schaub is a big Phillies fan, so like me (a fellow fan of the Fightin' Phils myself) he was still on cloud-nine after Halladay's gem…

With Craig ripping TBS for their coverage of all of the baseball yesterday, specifically the 'strike-zone tracker', Al gave the President of Turner Sports, David Levy (pictured above, he's the one in the middle) a call so Craigie could make him aware of his gripe…

Al thought it would be a good idea to book a couple of Hooters girls to come in-studio to visit with the fellas and he was right.  And we're not talking about just any Hooters girls either, Al booked the two cover girls for the 2011 Hooters Calendar, LeAngela (pictured above on the left) and Rachel (on the right).  Al posed for a picture with the lovely ladies as well, you can check it out below...
