Boomer & Craig enjoyed a little three-day weekend, so when they took their seats in the Allstate Studio just after 6 a.m., the Dynamic Radio Duo had plenty to talk about, beginning with the plights of both the Yankees and the Mets - who appear to be heading in opposite directions.
The Yankees were in Washington over the weekend and managed to sweep the Nationals while they were there. Yesterday it was a 4-1 win over the Nats for the Bombers, who have now won nine games in-a-row by the way, and with a record of 40-25, hold a 1.5 game lead over the Orioles in the AL East.
As for the Mets, their weekend wasn't so good, evident by the three straight losses they were dealt by the Reds during which they managed just a total of four runs. Next-up for the Mets are the aforementioned Orioles as Terry Collins' bunch looks to right their ship at Citi Field. On top of the sweep, the Mets lose Jason Bay to a concussion - no seriously.
The Heat won a tight Game three down in South Beach by the score of 91-85 and now hold a 2-1 advantage over the Thunder in the NBA Finals with two more games in Miami.
