B&C Morning Show: Updating A Rare Knicks Playoff Win And Then Some

The Knicks took the court Sunday afternoon against the Heat trailing their first-round series 3-0 and with very little to lose.  Game 4 also marked the return of Amar'e Stoudemire, after missing Game 3 due to his self-destructive behavior.

When the final horn sounded, the Knicks got a major contribution from Stoudemire (20 points-10 rebounds) as well as Carmelo Anthony (41 points-6 rebounds-4 assists) and a 89-87 win over LeBron and the 'Heatles.' Jerry Recco's first update of the morning offered a thorough recap of the action and provided us with some telling soundbites.  Included in those soundbites was some post game reaction from Mike 'Wild Thing' Woodson, 'Let's Do It' Carmelo, Stoudemire and Heat coach Erik Spoelstra.

The Sixers topped the Bulls 89-82 to take a 3-1 series lead, Celtics clobbered the Hawks to 101-79 to go up 3-1 and the Lakers also took a 3-1 series lead after a 92-88 win in Denver over the Nuggets.

The Devils scored 4 unanswered goals for a 4-2 win over the Flyers and a 3-1 series lead, while Kings sweep away the Blues with a 3-1 win to advance to the Conference Finals.

Plus, The Yankees homered their way to a split with the Royals and we got to hear John Sterling's call of Robinson Cano's grand slam, which featured a little help from Suzyn Waldman.  Andy Pettitte also declared himself ready to pitch again for the Bombers.   The Mets made it two in-a-row with a 3-1 over the Diamondbacks...
