B&C Morning Show: The Weekend Of Losing Baseball
After a weekend where both the Yankees & Mets were swept, Adam Scott bogeyed away the British Open and Joe Paterno's statue was rightfully taken down, Boomer and Craig had plenty to talk about this Monday morning on the Extravaganza.
Losers of 9 out of their last 10, the Mets were swept away by the Dodgers and now take on the first place Nationals beginning tonight at Citi Field, a game Boomer will be at rooting on his beloved Mets. Craig of course has already declared the Mets season to be all but over, but the Booms is still holding out hope that they can turn things around, beginning with tonight's game, which also happens to be 'Stars Wars Night' at Citi Field.
Speaking of the 'Evil Empire' the Yankees' sweep took place in Oakland and was administered by the A's. Boomer said on Friday that he believed the Yankees winning ways were coming to an end and that he expected a swoon. Craig is still confident that 'his' Yankees will be just fine and expects them to comfortable win the AL East.
Craig also shared a story about Knicks GM Glen Grunwald and how he reacted when the Rockets sweetened their offer the Jeremy Lin. The guys also touched on the on going Penn State saga, as the Joe Paterno statue was removed from outside of Beaver Stadium and the NCAA is set to hand down sanctions to the school later this morning...
