B&C Morning Show: The Mets' Finger-Pointing Firestorm
It was Mets central today on the "Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza" as the fallout continues and Fred Wilpon's inflammatory comments to The New Yorker Magazine take on a life of their own.
Not only did the Mets' principle owner take shots at his top players on his "one-man redemption tour," but now we hear that Wilpon told SI if the Madoff case does not go his way, he will likely sell the team.
Although he doesn't necessarily agree with everything Wilpon had to say, Boomer appreciates his honesty, calling it somewhat refreshing. Craig on the other hand feels slighted as a Mets fan and wonders aloud why in the world he should continue to support this franchise. Craigie went on to say it rings pretty hollow when the owner rips the team and then expects fans to spend their hard earned money to buy tickets.
So it was all about the Mets early and often today as this already fragile franchise continues to stagger...
