B&C Morning Show: Shirtless Tebow Causes A Stir; Yanks Offer Cause For Concern?
Jerry Recco's first update of the week filled us in on everything going on in the world of sports and provided plenty of laughter, which has quickly become a Recco staple.
Jerry began things with the Yankees, who dropped two of three to the Red Sox over the weekend. Last night's game took extra-innings to decide, as the Red Sox eked out a 3-2 win in 10 innings in the Bronx. It was actually a call from Saturday's game that got the laughter train rolling, as legendary Yankee radio voice John Sterling provided a call of a near home run off the bat of Curtis Granderson that eventually went just foul, to the dismay of Sterling's radio partner Suzyn Waldman.
I'll just say 'oh Suzyn,' and leave it at that.
The Mets got a rare victory yesterday, beating the Diamondbacks 5-1 in Arizona, as R.A. Dickey earned his 14th win of the season. With the 'Not So Amazins' record now at 49-53, the focus now shifts from dreams of postseason baseball, Dickey's pursuit of 20 wins and whether or not Jason Bay will ever get another hit for the Mets.
Plus, from Jets camp, Tim Tebow bares his chest for all to see, Darrell Revis comes up lame and is unable to practice with a sore hamstring as Rex's Gang is off and running. Also an informative Olympic update during which we learn that field hockey is not a sport for the left-handers...
