B&C Morning Show: Revis Needs To Guard Against Falling Asleep, Not Tebow
After getting their doors blown off by Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and company Sunday night in prime time, one might have thought Rex Ryan and his Gang Green would be pretty tight-lipped leading up to Thursday night's game in Denver against the Broncos.
Well we learned yesterday that would not be the case, as usually reserved Darrelle Revis talked about his biggest concern going into the game being he and his secondary mates not falling asleep against Tim Tebow and the Broncos' run-heavy offensive attack.
Whether he intended to or not, Revis provided some bulletin board material for Denver head coach John Fox. Craig loves it. Boomer didn't mind the trash-talking either, saying it's good for the Jets. Boomer also pointed out that their playing Tebow, not Brady.
After that - despite plenty of relevant topics on the table - the Blonde Bomber just couldn't help himself. With the Rangers winning their 7th in a row and his 'man-crush' Brad 'Bobby' Richards scoring the go-ahead goal in the 3rd period, the blushing Blonde Bomber had to talk about his beloved Blueshirts.
Getting back the the Jets, Boomer talked about the obstacles of playing in Denver amidst all of the 'Tebow Euphoria.'
Off the gridiron, the Giants made some news, as a handful of players were present at the 'Juliet Superclub' when shots were fired last night. Apparently a case of 'wrong place, wrong time' but the story did lead to a discussion about athletes putting themselves in harm's way.
The guys rounded out a well-rounded show open by talking about Yankees GM Brian Cashman saying Alex Rodriguez should have been benched during the ALDS - so there's that...
