B&C Morning Show: Plaxico Lashes Out At Giants

Plaxico Burress' journey to the Jets has certainly been a long, strange trip if there ever was one.

As you might recall, the wide receiver once caught passes from Eli Manning while playing for the Giants, in fact he won a Super Bowl with Big Blue.  Since then he suffered a self-inflicted gun wound, spent almost two years in prison and then signed with the Jets.

Plax recently sat down with Men's Journal for an interview (will appear in the October issue of the publication) and had some choice things to say about his former coach Tom Coughlin, former teammate Eli Manning, Giants management and even the fans.

After talking about last night's season opening thriller in Green Bay - a game won by the defending Super Bowl Champion Packers by a score of 42-34 over the Saints - Boomer & Craig talked about Plaxico's comments and whether or not they will have any effect on the Giants going into Week 1 or longer.

Speaking of Week 1, it looks as if Giants defensive end Justin Tuck may not be ready for the Redskins on Sunday due to a neck stinger, which is obviously not good for the already banged-up Giants.

As for the Jets, they prepare to play the Cowboys Sunday night, September 11, at Met Life Stadium.  Boomer & Craig talked Rex's Gang Green, as Ryan backed off his threat to Cowboys fans yesterday, explaining he was not encouraging violence, he just would prefer to see the majority of the crowd wearing green.

So to open today's Football Friday edition of the Morning Extravaganza, Boomer & Craig had plenty to talk about, including the upcoming 10-year anniversary of 9/11...
