B&C Morning Show: Not So Fast, Mavericks Rebound To Stun Heat

There's no joy in Miami. Not after Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks overcame a 15-point, 4th quarter deficit to stun the Heat in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, 95-93.

It was a comeback of epic proportions, led by Dirk -- who, despite a bad digit on his left hand, managed to score the Mavs' last 9 points -- and now they will head back to Dallas for the next three games.

Despite a lack of sleep, Craig was giddy after the Mavs' come-from-behind win because like most people out there, he is not a fan of LeBron James and the Heat.  Boomer admitted to falling prey to the late start, as he dozed off during the 4th quarter and was shocked when he woke-up to learn the Mavs had managed to come back and tie the series.  During Boomer's slumber the Mavs outscored the Heat 22-5 down the stretch while LeBron and his pal Dwyane Wade were rendered ineffective.

As for the Mets, the team Craig officially gave up on yesterday, they had an impressive comeback themselves Thursday afternoon at Citi Field.  After Mike Pelfrey spotted the Pirates a 7-spot, the Mets were able to shake off their orally-fixated right hander's troubles and managed to come away with a 9-8 win.

The win didn't do much to change Craig's mind, but  Boomer was happy to see the Mets win, especially in the fashion that they did.

Craig was also sure to mention that when he golfed with Boomer yesterday he shot a legit score of 94.  So an interesting start to Friday's edition of the "Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza"...
