B&C Morning Show: Nationals' Jim Riggleman Talks Posada, PEDs
Boomer & Craig were pleased to welcome the manager of the Washington Nationals, Jim Riggleman, into the Allstate Studios this morning.
Riggleman is in town because his team is scheduled to play the Mets at Citi Field for a two-game set -- weather permitting of course. He joined the guys and talked a little about the Nats, who enter the series 20-21 -- and the rest of the NL East.
Boomer & Craig got Riggleman's thoughts on the ongoing Jorge Posada saga and what it's like to manage a star who is on the downside of his career.
Riggleman managed the Chicago Cubs from 1995-99, which means he was there in 1998 when Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire set single-season home run records. With that in mind, we heard Riggleman's thoughts on the whole steroid era and whether or not players that have tested positive for PEDs should be eligible for the Hall of Fame.
Craig finished things off in true Boomer & Carton fashion by asking the 58 year-old Riggleman how much he's benchin' these days...
