B&C Morning Show: Knicks, Rangers - Embarrassing Across The Board
It was a rather somber beginning to the Monday morning edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza. Both the Knicks and the Rangers were eliminated from the playoffs this weekend, managing just one win between them, courtesy of the Blueshirts' victory in Game 3.
So Boomer & Craig took their spots in the Allstate studio this morning to try and make sense of it all. After a couple of promising performances in Boston, the Knicks embarrassed themselves at the Garden as the Celtics completed the four-game sweep yesterday afternoon.
The Rangers were put out of their misery Saturday in Washington, as Alexander Ovechkin and the Caps moved on to Round 2. Like the Knicks, the Rangers have a few question marks heading into the offseason, but apparently their head coach will not be one of them, as John Tortorella has reportedly signed a 3-year extension to remain on the bench.
With the abrupt conclusions to the NBA and NHL seasons here in New York, Craig declares that baseball season has officially begun. With that said, the Mets have reeled off 4 in a row and the Yankees have won 5 of their last 6, prompting Craig to say "Thank God for BOTH the Yankees and the Mets"...
