B&C Morning Show: Jerry Updates An Eventful NFL Week 9 And Then Some
Before Jerry Recco could begin his first update of the morning, the guys decided to give credit where credit was due.
You see after Eli Manning led his Giants to a 24-20 victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, Justin Tuck pointed out that you can't spell 'elite' without 'Eli'. Boomer heard what Tuck had about his QB following the win and called it the best line he heard all day.
Now clearly Tuck must read the Blog on a daily basis because on Friday I wrote that very thing. So it was me who got the credit from the guys (holla that!!!), but I digress.
Jerry then got started on his first update, beginning with the improbably win by the Giants. He provided some post game comments courtesy of Tom Coughlin, and offered an audio montage of Craig declaring the Giants couldn't possibly win - which was music to the ears of many.
Craig handled the razzing well, going as far to refer the Giants as the mighty Patriots 'kryptonite', as yesterday's loss snapped a streak of 20 straight home wins by the Pats.
As for the Jets, Craig said yesterday's win - their third straight - was a clear indication that Rex's Gang Green have their swagger back. The Jets overcame a slow-start, to thoroughly dominate the over-matched Bills on the road and defensive tackle Sione Pouha referenced something called 'Jet-ti-tude' following the game.
Jerry ran through the rest of the NFL scoreboard, recapped a 3-0 win by Boomer's NY Rangers and mentioned the disturbing story coming out of Penn State...
