B&C Morning Show: Jerry Recco, The Update Guru, Does His Thing
Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning by rehashing everything that when on during the Yankees 5-2, rubber-game win over the Mariners yesterday afternoon in Seattle. Afterwards Boomer and Craig offered some analysis of Joe Girardi's job in the dugout, saying the Yankee skipper 'managed his ass off'.
The Mets lost their 10th game in their last 11 tries, falling to the 1st place Nationals 5-2. This game was not without incident though as reliever Tim Byrdak, catcher Josh Thole and pitching coach Dan Warthan had a little dust up in the Mets dugout. Following the game David Wright spoke of a troubled clubhouse, while Terry Collins offered no excuses and spoke of accountability.
One bright note for the Mets is that top pitching prospect Matt Harvey will make his MLB debut tonight in Arizona, opposing Wade Miley for the Diamondbacks.
Plus, Osi Umeyiora offers his take on the phenom that is Robert Griffin III or 'Bob' for short, Jeff Otah fails his physical with the Jets, casting his future with Gang Green in-doubt, Knicks reportedly will help the Nets open up the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn and newest Ranger Rick Nash speaks, just before Craig needed to excuse himself for a bathroom run...
