B&C Morning Show: Earl 'The Pearl' Monroe Has Himself Some Fun With Boomer & Craig

The man, the myth, the legend. That's right,  Earl 'The Pearl' Monroe made the trip to Manhattan to sit down with Boomer & Craig in the Allstate Studio, the morning after the Knicks fell behind the Heat 3-0 in their first-round playoff series.

According to Monroe, we were not crazy to think this Knicks team could win, they just have been bogged down with so many injuries it made the task next to impossible.  He pointed to obvious chemistry problems and, like Boomer, stressed the importance of team basketball.

Plus, Monroe agreed with Craig that Landry Fields may be out of his element a bit. The guys also talked about the cloudy future of this team moving forward, Stoudemire's self-destructive behavior in Miami, the importance of remaining focused, his own relationship with Walt Frazier -- and how Clyde rarely picks up a check -- and how the Knicks don't have 'that guy' that instills fear in opponents by his mere presence.

Earl 'The Pearl' also shed some light on the likelihood that his old teammate Phil Jackson would come to New York to coach the Knicks.  He said that unless they have a team in place that is ready to compete for a title, he doesn't believe Jackson would be interested...
