B&C Morning Show: Dorsey Levens Talks Brett Favre, The 'Madden Curse' And More
Retired NFL running back Dorsey Levens made the trip to the Allstate Studios this morning to pay Boomer & Carton a visit and talk some football.
Levens made his mark in the NFL carrying the ball for the Green Bay Packers. He also played for the Eagles and Giants. He talked about playing in Green Bay and what kind of teammate Brett Favre was, calling the QB a great teammate but at times showed immaturity and needed to be told to "grow up."
Leven talked about the path that led him to the NFL and what he has been doing since hanging it up back in 2006. Like Boomer, Levens is concerned with his health moving forward in life after participating in such a violent sport for close to 12 years. He expressed his worries, but also pointed out that he was the one that made the decision to do so.
On a lighter note, Craig brought up the dreaded 'Madden Curse,' which Levens was a victim of after appearing on the cover of the popular video game's European version back in 2000. I guess as far as Dorsey is concerned, it's not really a lighter note considering he was released by the Packers following the 2001 season, but I couldn't come up with a better segue. Levens is a member of the Packers Hall of Fame, so I guess it all worked out in the end...
