B&C Morning Show: Craig Pumps Up Eli, Jerry Delivers His Update

Picking up where he left off during today's entertaining show open, Craig hurled more praise in the direction of Eli Manning after the slight uttered yesterday by his former teammate Kurt Warner.

Jerry Recco witnessed Craig pumping up Eli firsthand and eventually got to deliver his first update of the morning, which was predictably focused on the Giants festivities that took over New York & New Jersey yesterday.

We heard New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Craig both pay homage to legendary Yankees radio broadcaster, Suzyn Waldman, who certainly knows about partying in the Big 'Blue' Apple.

We also got to hear from an excited Eli Manning, Tom Coughlin on his phone call from President Obama, Steve Tisch tried his hand at humor - unsuccessfully by the way - John Mara enjoying Manhattan and finally Justin Tuck took a shot at the Jets with regards to their shared home, MetLife Stadium.

Amani Toomer was part of CBS' coverage of the parade, along with Craig.  Toomer caught-up with his former coach Tom Coughlin and got a little tongue tied, which I'm not gonna lie, was hilarious.  It reminded Boomer of an old clip of Omar Minaya talking about his pitching staff while he was the GM of the Mets.

As for the Jets, they have had very little to celebrate these days, but still managed to make the news cycle today.  First for their full page ad offering congrats to the Giants and next for the $7.5 million they'll pay to former team 'Captain' Santonio Holmes today.

Plus, Boomer's Rangers lose a close one at the Garden 1-0 to the Devils after a last second goal was disallowed, the Islanders beat the Flyers 1-0 in a shootout, Knicks take on the Wizards tonight in Washington - Carmelo Anthony out 1-2 weeks with a groin injury, no word on when Amar'e Stoudemire will return  and the Nets are home for Detroit...
