B&C Morning Show: Carton Warns, Beware Of Tom Brady!
Based on their success, the Giants and their fans have every reason in the world to be feeling good these days. An impressive playoff run that was kept going after a gritty win Sunday over the 49ers NFC Championship is certainly reason enough to bow out one's chest.
When you combine that with Big Blue's recent success against the Patriots specifically and some are starting to believe that playing a game February 5th in Indianapolis is a mere formality.
Craig isn't one of them.
(As for Boomer, he was in Indy today filming 'Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials 2012' along with his lovely co-host Jillian Michaels and will return to Craig's side tomorrow. The special will air February 1 on CBS.)
Not that Craig is ready to pick the Patriots to win the game - he actually said he thing the Giants are probably the better team from top to bottom - but he did issue an stern warning to all of those who might be underestimating the duo of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, who unquestionably will have revenge on their minds.
If the Giants do manage to win the game, it would mark their third straight victory over the Pats (17-14 victory in Super Bowl XLII & 24-20 win @ New England in Week 9) and Craig believes that might just be a little too much to ask for.
Craigie went on to praise Eli and the magnificent year he is in the midst of, but curbed his own enthusiasm by reminding everyone that Brady is still an all-time great.
With that said, Craig declared today as another day to celebrate what Big Blue has accomplished thus far, with the understanding that looking ahead was inevitable.
Apparently looking back was also inevitable, as Craig chose to once again declare that the Giants caught a big break late in the 4th quarter when it was ruled that Ahmad Bradshaw's forward progress had been stopped, prior to him coughing up the ball.
From there Craigie opened-up the phone-lines, telling Giants fans that it's okay for them to be overconfident about Big Blue, actually it's encouraged - but he scolded the certain media members (you know who you are) who have prematurely labeled a Giants win, a sure thing...
