B&C Morning Show: Carmelo Joins Lin, Knicks Lose; Mariano Hints At Retirement
The Knicks had Carmelo Anthony back in the lineup last night (the All-Star forward had been out with a groin injury).
Melo missed much of the recent 'LINsanity.' So that, combined with the 8-15 record the Knicks had before Lin announced his presence with authority, made Carmelo's return against the New Jersey Nets much anticipated.
When the dust settled, the storyline revolved around the point guard for the Nets, as Deron Williams dropped 38 and the Nets cruised to a 100-92 victory at the 'World's Most Famous Arena'.
So now the sky is falling and the Knicks need to trade Carmelo, because clearly he and Lin can not coexist!
Not quite.
Boomer & Craig discussed the Knicks' setback, but kept things in perspective (for the most part). The Dynamic Radio Duo also talked about the speculation surrounding Mariano Rivera's future in pinstripes, as the Yankees great hinted toward retirement yesterday down in Florida...
