B&C Morning Show: Bill Cowher Pays Boomer A Visit, Puts Coaching Return Rumors To Bed
When Boomer found out for sure that Craig was not going to make it in today, he reached out to his old buddy Bill Cowher and invited him into the Allstate Studio. Cowher, who can be seen along with Boomer & the gang on the NFL Today on CBS, was more than happy to make trip to Manhattan to join the Blonde Bomber.
Boomer didn't waste anytime getting to the burning question surrounding the coaching future of Cowher, with rumors circulating about him becoming the next head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Cowher quickly put the rumors to rest, assuring everyone that he "doesn't plan on coaching" and then took it a step further and said "he will not coach next year," pointing to the demands that come with being an NFL head coach -- and how he enjoys the stability and freedom afforded by his current lifestyle.
With that out of the way, it was on to football on the field beginning with the Giants and their match-up with the Redskins this Sunday. Speaking of the Giants, they're one of the many teams Cowher has been linked with as a possible head coach, a position currently held by Tom Coughlin. Cowher once again put to bed the notion that he has, or ever had any interest in Coughlin's job, going on to talk about the great relationship the two have.
As the segment was coming to an end, Cowher got a little distracted when Al Dukes made his way into the Allstate Studio to delver to Boomer the LIVE copy, which turned out to be the coach's first lesson in the differences between TV and radio as he stuck around for a while and kept Craig's seat warm...
