B&C Morning Show: Big Blue Triumph By The Bay - Here We Go Again!
With their 20-17 - overtime win in San Francisco - the New York Football Giants are heading back to the Super Bowl to take on Tom Brady, Bill Belichick & the New England Patriots, who ousted the Baltimore Ravens 23-20.
Story lines are plentiful and will continue to develop as we get closer to the February 5th showdown in Indy, but to get things started this morning, Boomer & Craig chose to focus on the 'Big Blue Triumph by the Bay'.
For all of Eli's greatness and the stellar play of the defense - when looking for a hero - one needs to look no further than the Giants kicking game. Not only did Lawrence Tynes kick the 31-yard - game-winner in OT - but punter Steve Weatherford handled a bad snap before getting off a 37-yard punt, that was subsequently fumbled by 49ers returner Kyle Williams - which led to Tynes aforementioned game-winner.
So it was a great Sunday of NFL Football, 'epic' was the word Boomer used to aptly describe it. When you combine that with the Rangers success on the ice in Boston Saturday (3-2 OT win) - which the Booms was sure to do - and you had a combination that led to elation. Boomer was in Bean Town for the game and told a story of a near-fist-a-cuffs before getting back to the football talk...
