B&C Morning Show: 'Back-Door Bongoed' Tambourine Man & A Recco Updated
Before Jerry Recco could get his first update of the morning underway, Craig offered some more details on his 'run-in' with former Yankees slugger Cecil Fielder while performing with Bernie Williams last night. Fittingly, the guys played 'Mr. Tambourine Man' while Craig filled us in.
Then Jerry began with the familiar voice of John Sterling, as the legendary Yankees radio play-by-play man aptly described Raul Ibanez's 8th inning Grand Slam, which helped propel the Bombers to a 6-3 win over the Blue Jays. Alex Rodriguez had a stiff neck so he was the DH for Joe Girardi and got two hits in a role that appears to suit him well.
The Mets had the night off and will look to get their first win since the All-Star Break when they travel to Washington to take on the first place Nationals tonight. We also get word that Jason Bay may be close to a return and the Mets top pitching prospect, Matt Harvey, could make his Big League debut later in the week.
Plus, Ray Rice (Ravens) & Matt Forte (Bears) get new deals, Team USA defeats Brazil 80-69 behind 30 from LeBron and head coach Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K) is featured in a fun little game called, 'what the hell was that?!?!?'...
