B&C Morning Show: Archie Manning Calls In To Talk Eli's Giants
Archie Manning called into Boomer & Craig this morning to talk some football -- and inevitably his youngest son Eli's name came up.
Eli, as you know, is the quarterback for the Giants and a few weeks back he had some interesting comments about where he sees himself in the "NFL QB Pantheon."
Archie defended his son's comments and then went on to say how pleased Eli is with the Giants' current receiving corps. That led Craig to ask what, if anything, happened between Eli and Plaxico Burress - eluding to the fact that Eli was quiet publicly about the prospects of the Giants resigning the trouble wide receiever.
Again, the Manning patriarch pointed to how pleased young Eli is with his current corps of receivers.
All in all, Archie seemed excited that the NFL season is getting close to starting and is looking forward to watching both of his sons, Eli and Peyton, take the field...
