We are now two days removed from the Giants epic collapse Sunday against the Eagles and since then we have learned that Eli Manning took a page out of his younger counterpart's 'play-book' and called a players only meeting to address his teammates. This coming on the heels of Mark Sanchez addressing his Jets teammates prior to their game in Pittsburgh, a speech that appears to have work since Gang Green left the 'Steel City' with their first ever win. This is the first time in his career that Eli has called such a meeting and he is hoping that his speech has a similar effect to that of Sanchez's. The guys talked about both the Giants and the Jets upcoming schedules (Giants @ Green Bay & @ Washington – Jets @ Chicago & home for Buffalo) and what they have to do in their two remaining games to make the playoffs and what might happen if that don't…

With no audio of the players only meeting called by Eli yesterday, based on what we know about Eli and the fact that he has never addressed his team in such a way, Craig speculated what words may have been uttered from Eli's mouth. Craig continued to speculate throughout Jerry's first update of the day, during which Boomer addressed the firing of Ralph Friedgen at his Alma Mater, Maryland…

Craig was so excited to start giving Boomer his Christmas gifts that he just couldn't wait until tomorrow, so he started the gift giving parade a little early. His first gift to the Blonde Bomber he put a lot of thought in to and Boomer seemed to really appreciate it, but then he revealed that he was given the same gift last year by his son Gunnar, in fact Gunnar's gift was a little better. Then the guys took a call from Gary in Connecticut and it was become of Gary that Craig morphed into a combination of Jim Nantz and Suzyn Waldman…

As you can imagine, Tom Coughlin took Sunday's loss to the Eagles very hard. How hard??? He admitted yesterday to spending close to two hours alone in a dark room. Boomer could certainly relate, having been on the wrong side of some tough losses during his career, which 'the' Eddie Scozzare was quick to point out. Craig then added to Boomer's pain as he reminded him that they were both inexcusably excluded from the MSG Holiday card (you can see the e-card for yourself by clicking here)…

Mr. Phil Simms will be calling the Jets-Bears game in Chicago on Sunday, along with Craig's buddy Jim Nantz (hello friends) on CBS. Simms as you know also led the Giants to a victory in Super Bowl XXI over the Broncos, so he is pretty knowledgeable about the game of football. He joined Boomer & Craig this morning to talk about the Giants debacle on Sunday against the Eagles and their upcoming match-up with the Packers in Green Bay. Simms also talked about Eli Manning stepping out of character a bit and addressing his teammates in a player's only affair. It wouldn't be a call from Simms if not for some friendly name calling and what not between the guys and there was plenty of that as well…
