BB, Pellet Gunfire Leaves 5 Hurt In 1 Week In Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- At least five people have been wounded by BB or pellet fire on the streets of Yonkers in the past week.
Yonkers police Detective Lt. Patrick McCarthy said Monday a 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged in one of the shootings. That victim was a 57-year-old woman.
But McCarthy said police are not sure the boy is responsible for all the attacks.
He said more arrests are expected.
No serious injuries have resulted from the BB and pellet fire, police said.
The shootings began last Tuesday.
The boy's name has not been made public because of his age. He was to be arraigned in Family Court.
