Bayville Man Pleads Not Guilty To Charges Of Raping Girl, 13
GLEN COVE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - A Long Island man is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl he met online.
Nassau County police say the girl met the 25-year-old suspect on Facebook in July.
Tereso De Jesus Ruiz-Hernandez of Bayville was arrested on Monday by Glen Cove police.
Police said Ruiz-Hernandez gave the girl alcohol and engaged in sexual activity with the victim in his vehicle on several occasions.

"He picked her up in a public area and then they eventually went to places in the early hours of the morning that were dark and secluded," Nassau County Police Sgt. Robert Matadero said.
Ruiz-Hernandez pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday on second-degree rape and two counts of criminal sexual act. He was being held on $20,000 bail.
He was represented by an attorney from Legal Aid, which does not comment on pending cases.
Police ask anyone who may know of additional victims to contact the Special Victims Squad or their local police department.
The defendant faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
