Barclays Center Accused In Lawsuit Of Mistreatment Based On Race
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Barclays Center has been accused of mistreating luxury box holders who are African-American.
As WCBS 880's Irene Cornell reported, three employees of Ludwig's Pharmacy in Prospect Heights claimed in a lawsuit filed last week that they have been singled out for bad treatment at the stadium just because they are black.

The pharmacy had purchased rights to a luxury skybox for nearly $1 million.
But the three men – identified in a New York Post report as Glen DeFreitas, Sean Scarborough, and Jermaine Pratt – claimed Barclays staffers have accused them of skipping out on their bills, ignoring their food and drink orders, and in one case, reporting them as a security threat.
The suit claimed a security team was sent to investigate the box, but the officers invaded the wrong box and forced its occupants to the floor.
The final straw, the men said in the lawsuit, came when they were hit with a $1,000 bill for pizza.
A Ludwig's staffer declined to comment to the newspaper on the suit.
