Barber To The Stars Says A-Rod Shaves Arms And Legs
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Ever heard of Jose Moises Lopez?
Well if you haven't, you'll know plenty about him soon enough.
Lopez is the go-to barber for a great deal of professional athletes. He takes care of superstar players at Jordan Sport Barber Shop in the Bronx.
His clientele is so impressive that he's landed a show on Fox Sports 1.
One of the megastars that comes to him is none other than Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. But it wasn't A-Rod who initiated contact with Lopez.
The barber saw the 14-time All-Star shaving his legs at Yankee Stadium, USA Today's Ted Berg reported. Lopez decided to lend the slugger a hand.
"I didn't want him to cut himself," Lopez told Berg in Spanish. "'Don't worry about it,' I said. 'I'll do it for you.' He shaves his arms and legs."
So there's that.
Yankees outfielder Carlos Beltran and starting pitcher CC Sabathia will appear on Lopez's show, as will Knicks stars Iman Shumpert and Amar'e Stoudemire.
And there's even a Mets connection! A pretty big one, in fact. According to Berg, Lopez managed to get major-league connections through childhood friend Luis Castillo.
