Bail Increased To $3 Million For Kashif Parvaiz In Fatal Boonton Shooting Of His Wife
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A judge has increased bail to $3 million for the man accused in the fatal shooting of his wife in a Boonton, New Jersey last week.

Kashif Parvaiz, originally from Brooklyn, and Antoinette Stephen of Billerica, Mass., are charged with murdering Parvaiz's wife, Pakistani-born Nazish Noorani.
Bail for Parvaiz had been set at $1 million. Bail for Stephen remains at $5 million.
Noorani was fatally shot Aug. 16 while she and Parvaiz pushed their son's stroller near Noorani's family home in Boonton, which has a large Pakistani-American population.
Parvaiz was also shot. Their 3-year-old child, who was being pushed in a stroller, was unharmed.
Stephen was extradited from Massachusetts on Monday.
Neither defendant spoke during their separate appearances in state Superior Court in Morristown on Tuesday.
On Monday, the stepmother of one of Parvaiz's friends said she believed a real estate swindle was part of the alleged plot.
Marguerite Ragusa said that Parvaiz persuaded her stepson, 74-year-old Martin Ragusa, to sign over his minority share of an apartment building in Queens, which went into contract last week – a day before the shooting – for more than $9 million.
According to Ragusa, Parvaiz was in line to make about $2 million.
"I think he had to eliminate her before the money came or she would've filed for half of it," Marguerite Ragusa said.
