Authorities Investigate 'Suspicious' Queens Fire
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One man has died and another was seriously injured following a suspicious fire in Flushing, Queens.
The fire started at a three-story building on Roosevelt Avenue. Fire crews were able to put out the flames in 30 minutes.
Terry Sheridan of 1010 WINS reported the slain man was found slashed or stabbed.
The other man was badly burned and may have also been slashed. He was transported to Booth Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating whether a dispute at a 3rd floor immigration office of the building led up to the man's death and the fire, Sheridan reported.
The other injured man is being treated at the hospital for severe burns.
