Police Seek 4 Men Who Robbed Victim At Gunpoint In Astoria
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A violent robbery was caught on camera in Queens.
Police said four men robbed a 30-year-old man at gunpoint after setting their sights on his jewelry, CBS2's Ilana Gold reported.
The robbery happened at around 6 a.m. last Sunday on 34th Street near 36th Avenue in Astoria.
Police said the men took off in a grey Nissan Altima after they stole the victim's chain. The victim was not seriously hurt, Gold reported.
Investigators said the group first spotted the man and his jewelry when he was standing outside with a group of friends. They had just locked their keys in their car and were waiting for help.
But that's when the suspects ran up and demanded his chain, Gold reported. The victim's friends saw everything and called for help.
Police who arrived on the scene minutes later said the victim and his friends did not know the suspects.
