NYPD: Man Stole $11,000 In Jewelry, Electronics From Astoria Home
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole $11,000 in jewelry and electronics from a home in Queen earlier this week.
According to police, the suspect used the front window to break into a home on 33rd Street in Astoria at around 10:30 a.m. on June 2. Once inside, the suspect took around $11,000 in jewelry and electronics before leaving the scene.
The NYPD describes the suspect as a Hispanic, with a goatee and brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a long sleeve, blue plaid button down shirt, blue jeans and a grey vest.

One neighbor said in his 30 years living in the community that nothing like this has ever happened.
"You know-- you hear about it a lot. You just don't think it's going to happen in your neighborhood," he told 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria.
