NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A personal assistant to Nicky Hilton's former husband has pleaded not guilty in New York to stealing over $1 million from him.

A raven-haired beauty, a one-time movie - actress Renata Shamrakova - has pleaded not guilty to stealing over $1 million her employer, hedge fund man Todd Meister.
He is best known as a man about town who was briefly married to Hilton.
As for Shamrakova, who appeared in a couple of low-budget short films, she says the million dollars in question is money she used to set up an online jewelry business.
Her defense is that Meister authorized her to spend that money. Meister claims he was robbed.
The indictment calls it grand larceny.
