Archie Manning On WFAN: 'Eli Is Dying Right Now'
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Giants quarterback Eli Manning is known to be mellow and unassuming.
Heck, even his nickname is "Easy." But Archie Manning says losing is anything but that for his youngest son.
"Eli is dying right now," the Manning patriarch told WFAN radio's Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton on Tuesday.

It's been a rough season for Eli. His team dug what turned out to be an insurmountable 0-6 hole to start the season. On top of that, Manning is tied with Jets quarterback Geno Smith with a league-leading 20 interceptions.
"I told him, 'You and (Justin) Tuck, coach (Tom) Coughlin, you all held your locker room together. And that's not the case everywhere around this league,' " Archie Manning said.
The Giants were eliminated from playoff contention Sunday following a 37-14 loss to the Chargers in San Diego.
On Monday, Eli Manning said he's tried to avoid thinking about what changes the Giants might make this offseason.
"You never know what's gonna happen," he told WFAN host Mike Francesa. "My job is to go out there and try to lead this offense, and try to get wins and do my responsibilities and make sure everybody has a great understanding of what we're trying to accomplish … If you start thinking about that and worrying about that, it's going to distract you."
