WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reports
This time, a 43-year-old North Bellmore man identified by Suffolk County police as Bogdan Mychajlyszyn, was arrested after going in the wrong direction on Sunrise Highway and crashing into another car in West Babylon.
It's scary and it seems like you hear about it everyday on Long Island.
Deana Cohen, a spokesperson for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) says there is only one solution - more cops, especially in Suffolk County.
"There are not enough cops on the roads - the Long Island Expressway, Sunrise Highway - out major thouroughfares where most of the wrong-way drivers have been traveling on," Cohen told WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall.
Cohen says sober people are becoming afraid to get behind the wheel. She says that if you want change, pick up your phone and call "from the governor on down, call the police commissioner. More cops and more outrage by the public."
