Amtrak Says New York To Boston Service Restored With Delays

NEW YORK (AP) -- Amtrak crews have made repairs to damaged tracks and an overhead power system to restore train service between New York and Boston.

A heavy truck had struck and damaged the overhead power system near New Haven, Conn., leading Amtrak to suspend trains in both directions for more than three hours Friday.

The railroad says there will be residual delays as crews complete repairs on the line.
