Report: Father In Custody, Child Safe After AMBER Alert In NY
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - An AMBER alert has been canceled for a 4-year-old Marlboro boy, who police said was abducted by his father following a violent altercation.
Frederick McCluskey, 4, had been reported taken by his father, also named Frederick McCluskey, 27, at around 9:20 a.m. Friday, police said.
According to a report, the child was found safe and in good health, and the father is in custody.
McCluskey abducted the child from daycare using physical violence following a physical domestic altercation with the boy's mother, police said. McCluskey was considered suicidal and had threatened to harm the child and himself, according to police.
