'Amazing Spider-Man' Shooting Scenes On The Upper West Side
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- While Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark has been making headlines in New York City quite frequently since last November, residents of the Big Apple can prepare for a different take on the superhero drama in the coming week.
According to On Location Vacations, a Web site devoted to celebrity sightings, the L.A. based production of the film The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, has picked up and relocated to New York. The crew plans to shoot the film's external shots in an effort to make the film appear more "authentically New York."
But residents of the Upper West Side may get more Spidey than they would like.
The cast and crew will be shooting outdoor stunt scenes at 133rd Street and 12th Avenue during some late nights and early mornings through Wednesday.
