With operations in more than 30 countries around the globe, bio-pharmaceutical company Alexion Pharmaceuticals has chosen to locate its headquarters in New Haven after having moved away to Cheshire years ago.
Malloy said the company expects to create 300 new full-time jobs over the next few years.
"Based on job growth, we will be contributing to the total cost of this project," Malloy told Schneidau.
Once those jobs are established a state startup loan of up to $20 million will be forgiven.
City leaders said they are thrilled that the company has made the decision to come back to the 'Elm City,' citing hiring advantages and quality of life.
