Alerts Issued In Conn. For Missing Hartford, Brookfield Teens
HARTFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police in Connecticut are asking for the public's help in finding two missing teenagers.
Authorities say 16-year-old Austin Cyr disappeared from Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford last Thursday. They say he suffers from seizures and a heart disorder and needs medication.
Cyr is white, 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has short red hair, green eyes and braces, and may be wearing a red and white hooded sweat shirt. He also has pierced ears and freckles.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Cyr may still be in Hartford or may have gone to Windted, Conn.
State police have also issued a silver alert for 17-year-old Henry Ralph Manning, who went missing from Brookfield on Friday and was last seen at a mall in Milford. Police say he has an intellectual disability.
Manning is white, 5-feet-9-inches tall and about 135 pounds. Police say he was last seen wearing a blue sweat shirt, shorts and black shoes.
Anyone with information about Manning is asked to call the Brookfield Police Department at 203-775-2575.
A silver alert is issued for people older than 65 or for those with disabilities.
